I recently bought a Samsung t509 cell phone from a T-Mobile provider, what they told me was that it plays mp3s ( That was the main selling point. )
lol I found out that's not the case, entirely.
However, that's not my problem.
I keep sending my phone images from my computer via email, and when I select them as a wall paper, it doesn't stretch to the full size of the screen, and I've tried different pixel sizes.. ( 160x220 etc. etc basically all the ones in the manual and defaults.)
And still no change.
I've even tried to have the image fully stretch over the screen so I don't have white parts on the backround with images I've been sent, and nothing.
If anyone can help with that I'd be appreciative.
But my main gripe is..
the damned ringtones, I've sent myself mp3 messages ( via email again I get them as multimedia text messages.)
and it says the following..
Attachment Dropped:<Filename.mp3> of type:<application/x-unknown; name="filename.mp3>
It's not literally filename as you can guess, and it's not just mp3s.
mmf files as well, and when I send Wav to the phone it comes out automatically as .amr and I can't set any of those as ringtones.
So, my question is: Can anything be done about this? I realize this is lengthy but I'm about tired of trying to get it to work.
( Oh yeah, it also drops .3gp files, because I had to convert a video that was sent to me from a phone thru email because my phone wouldn't receive it as a video message, or any kind of notification, so I can't get that video on my phone. lol..) So.. is it a fixable problem? Or should I just quit while I'm ahead, because everything seems right.
I don't have any bluetooth capabilities, save for what's on the phone, none on the computer - - Should I just invest in that? If so, how much does it ?
Sorry for the length. Any help would be appreciated.
