data cable help

Hello,

I am using a Samsung SGH-x426 and I bought a data cable (usb) and I am only trying to transfer files onto my phone. The Samsung PC Studio does not recognize my phone and the device manager says "USB-Serial Controller C" and there is a big question mark beside it. Does anyone know where I can get a proper driver? I think that's what the problem is (the cd that came with it doesn't seem to work to well).

If you've encountered this problem or think you know how to fix it please help. I also can't get Samsung PC Studio to go to COM4 either, it will only let me pick COM3.
