New to forum, Softbank 707SC

Hi All,

Firstly, thanks to everyone for creating such a great forum so n00bs like myself can learn something about cell phones.

I recently bought a Softbank 707sc by samsung and i really enjoy using it. As you might already know, this phone is specifically designed for Japanese wireless networks. Although i purchased one that is unlock and compatible with T-mobile, alot of the functions for this phone is render useless once outside of J-networks. knowing this, i still went ahead and got one, since the other available features and functionalities are still very attractive... and the DESIGN of the thing.. wow the thinessssss...

anyways...

I'd like to know if any of the forumers have experience with this phone. and know of any cool apps, tricks that will maximize the capabilities of this phone here in the US. right now i am only using it for calls and text... which i know it can do alot more than that.

couple of ideas i am researching about:

- rather t-mobile web service will be compatible (partially) with the S! mail / Yahoo Keitai of japan.

- ways to download S! appli outside of their network, or does "regular" java applications work with this phone.

- how to install T9 on this phone (this is a big one)

- where to download comic (manga) for this phone

- various ways of uploading media.

I just got this phone for about a week... alot of research and playing around from now on... but i just want to throw this out there so you want to share your experience... i'd appreciate it very much..
