u740 "Sync Music"(VZW) always fails

Hello all,
I have the u740 under Verizon. I installed the VCast Music Essentials Manager which installed drivers (it said) for the phone. I hooked up the usb cable, plugged in the phone to the comp, went to Sync Music on the phone, which fails. It always says "Connect Failure." My computer (once I select Sync Music) acts as though I had plugged in a new device (making the sound when you plug in a new USB device). However, when the phone is just plugged in an on, the USB device shows up in Device Manager. I can connect it to BitPim and access system files on the phone, but the Music Sync won't work how matter hard I try.

how did u connect to bitpim????it wont support the u740

Make bitpim to scan for phone ( auto detect or whatever ), then you can scan system files. You can't use full bitpim features yet. Just browse the system files on the phone and take stuff/put stuff on the phone from there, if you know how to do the hex editing stuff too.
