I have a Samsung SGH-X495, which has recently started doing something odd...

I frequently use the Organizer-Calendar-Alarm, and recently the alarm tones and only the alarm tones have become just about inaudible. The ringtones are still as loud as I set them, and when selecting an alarm tone, as it samples it for you it's still plenty loud, but when it actually goes off, you can hardly hear it, and that feature is practically useless now. Since it didn't use to do this, and since it only happens when a tone is scheduled (alarm), I'm certain it's some sort of software volume setting that's not available in the menus. I've called my service provider and all they say is "reset all the settings" (which didn't work) or send it in for repairs at your cost.

Does anyone know if there is a keycode-adjustment for this?

    Thanks,

Re: Help with alarm tone volume

Figured it out myself and at first wasn't going to say anything, but just in case anyone was wondering ....

It's a non-obvious "feature" of the flip cover (clamshell). I had started keeping it open for wake-up alarms to make it easier to find the cancel soft-button, but open makes it quiet, closed is still plenty loud
