samsung imei help

Hello,

I've got a samsung x650 and want to unlock it to use it in a different continent.
I bought it in the Netherlands and now want to use it in south America.
I bought an unlock code. They sent me an imei code from 15 diggets. I can only put in 8 diggets.

please can somebody help me what tot do!!!???
