2 samsung a900's one is sprint 1 is bell can I switch

Thanks for offering such a great forum This is my first visit to this site I look foreward to following the threads I have discovered today. Thanks for all the helpfull posts and posters.

I have a bell samsung sph a900 I dropped it into salt water 3 or 4 months ago and it did not fully recover I can see where my keypad plugs onto the board that there may be some damage. my 1 and 2 keys will not work. I first thought it was my key pad so I bought an identical phone from florida I removed the main board from my phone and put it into my new sprint phone and still my 1 and 2 did not work so that is when I went looking with the magnafying glass and it does appear to have some damage so here is my question. Can i somehow clone or flash or zap the sprint one so I can use it on my existing bell acount or am I pretty well with 2 useless phones now? They are identical phones so I was just wondering if there is some programming I can do.

Ok so I called bell and they checked the esn on my parts phone and say they can hook it up for 25 bucks! sooo is there any way I can do it? What ever IT is Could someone please telll me what this process is called is it unlocking then reprogrammming nam etc then locking again? Any terminology forums here? I have been checking around cant find much

Well that was a total waste of time 2 1/2 hours round trip. I fully explained the situation including that I bought a sprint phone from florida it is cdma as is bell The person on phone sadi yup!!! $25 bucks and your up and running. however 1 sales rep and 1 "" techy said hell no dummie this is a sprint phone. I did however find a dealer that said if I can unlock it they will program it but the data portion of this phone will more than likely not work however making and receiving calls will work just fine. Sooooo how do I unlock this? again it is a samsung a900 any direction will be mucho appreciated.

unlocking is the best option man. But like you said, some of its functions will not work like text,web,pic/video sending/receiving etc..
And $25 is a decent deal to unlock your phone.
About the flash..it might work since they pretty much are the same..The thing is that i dont know were you can get a cdma flash pack, but if you find it out there. let me know so I can buy it too.

So today was quite an adventure. 12-12:35 some guy who just was not a very good listener kept telling me to take it to my sprint store after 5 times of me telling him no sprint store available any way said call back saturday and they will unlock it. I smell B.S. any way 4:30 was playing with qpst and decided to call sprint again to get the supposedly very easily obtainabe MSL code so after 45 minutes with a very nice and understanding tech support they tell me to call samsung and explain to them. 5:00 - 5:15 samsung canada then transfered @ 5:15- 45 to samsung u.s.a several different individuals then to a manager he said just call sprint u.s.a and just get the nck from them and then call back and he will just unlock the phone for me. 5:50- 6:30 are you nuts we cant give out that info ill send you over to tech support bla bla bla etc etc et c
finially about 6:30 they put me through to sprint account services where this one came on and said call back after the 21st (billing cycle) they should be able to access the acount to see what is going on.
Any way this is even the condensed version.
