Samsung Blast question

I bought the Samsung Blast cell phone roughly 2 days ago. i just noticed that there is some play in the screen(the part that slides) it wiggles side to side slightly. When the phone is closed the very bottom has probably 1-1.5mm of play to each side. and when the phone is open, there is about the same amount of play.

my question is.... is this normal? is it anything i should be worried about?should i exchange the phone for a new one? or will everything be fine.

please help

~marcin~

P.S----- does anyone else notice the kinda "delay" when hitting the buttons to text?

Re: Samsung Blast question

ok, i took it back to the place i bought it from and told them whats up. they gladly offered an exchange. When i opened up the new box and tried that phone, it was the same thing. So the rep took out about 5 boxes and tried them all. all the phones had that bit of play in the screen. Whats up with that?

eventually the manager came out and shared his cell phone guru. All slide phones will have a little bit of side ot side play in the top part becasue there are no real supports to keep them from doing that he said. made sense.

i guess theres no problem. a tad bit of play is completely normal.

Oh, BTW, they gave me a new one even though there was no real defect or issue.

Re: Samsung Blast question

I noticed the play when I got my phone and figured it was a normal amount of play. Thing is, it doesn't slop around on its own. I have to physically move it to see play. No biggie. The phone is dope and I'm glad I picked it.

**If you didn't get your $50 rebate on your blast, do a search for it and find the correct form with the expiration in the top right hand corner that hasn't expired. There are several versions of the form with the date updated so you need to go through them til you find the correct one.

I wasn't told about any rebate, just searched it, submitted it and got $50 3 weeks later. Not a bad deal.
