u740 & Bitpim

Hi,

I'm trying to connect my u740 to Bitpim via bluetooth. I have it set up under com7, and the u740 option in bitpim... but its still not finding my phone.

I was somehow able to send my contacts to my phone (even when the detection light was yellow), but can't send pictures / ringtones

any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

hum, did you manually set the com port to com7 in bitpim? When you click on the bluetooth connection on your computer do you see the phone? Is the connection enabled for data transfer? (I think that's what it's called)

Re: u740 & Bitpim

thanks for the response.

hum, did you manually set the com port to com7 in bitpim?
- when i added the phone to my computer via bluetooth, it set 'ssp - serial port' to Com 7, and i saw it as an option in the manual set up of bitpim.

When you click on the bluetooth connection on your computer do you see the phone?
- yes, i do see the phone, but it says connected only for a moment at a time (not continuous like my BT mouse)

Is the connection enabled for data transfer? (I think that's what it's called)
- yes, im pretty sure thats what the SSP thing is.
