I found the way to put movies on your SCH-U740.
This is the easiest way I have imported movies and/or videos onto my SCH-u740. I am sorry but this will not show you how to import yourDVDs. I hope you enjoy it and put it to good use.
What you will need:
-A memory card (MicroSD)
-Memory card reader
-Your SCH-u740
-Pazera Free Video to 3GP (Availible at download.com)
-Anything to download movies and/or videos
Steps:
-First you will need to get your video file. I personally use the youtube downloader for videos and uTorrent for full movies. You can go ahead and make a folder to keep your videos in so you can reach them easier later.
-Now create a folder to put your converted file into (ex. Cell Phone Vids)
-Start up your video converter. If you are using the converter that I mentioned above then go to the bottom left corner and you should see an output format selection. You are going to be using 3G2.
-Go to the top left corner and select "Add Files". Now go to the folder where you keep your downloaded videos and select the files you want to put on your phone.
-Now go to the output directory selection and choose the folder that you made earlier for your converted files. (Cell Phone Vids)
-You can go ahead and mess around with the settings the program lets you customize but videos look great if you leave them alone.
-Now go ahead and click convert.
-In the meantime put the memory card into your sch-u740 if you have never done so before. The reason I ask you to do this is because the first time you put the memory card into your sch-u740 the plhone will create folders on your memory card such as my_pix, my_flix, and so on and so forth and you will need those folders later.
-Now remove the memory card from your phone and put it into your memory card reader and plug it in to your computer.
-Open up windows explorer and go into your memory card. You should see the folders that I mentioned before (my_pix...)
-Open the folder my_flix.
-If the video is not done converting then wait until it is finished.
-After your video is done converting click close on the converter program and open the folder where you put your converted videos and copy them into the my_flix folder.
-After the files are done being copied into your memory card safely remove your hardware and put the memory card into your phone.
-Go to "My Videos" and all of your video files should show up.
-Thats it! Now you can put movies or videos on your SCH-U740
I hope this tutorial helps alot of people because it sure helped me. Now I have 3 Movies, 5 tv shows, and 3 youtube videos on my memory card and they all look great! Please reply with any comments and if you have any questions go ahead and ask. Thanks
