    Re: Samsung Delve Ringtones?

myxer.com will work for US Cellular customers on the Delve. Just cut your .mp3 file to about 10 seconds and rename it .qcp (before sending it). NOW HERE IS THE KICKER. If you do not have a PICTURE MESSAGING plan on your phone it will be very hard to download the file from the WEB. If you have PICTURE MESSAGING on your phone...IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

    Re: Samsung Delve Ringtones?

I have the alltel version of the delve and i can't download any music files at all. i can't get wallpapers from places like myxer either. i have a program that's called create-ringtone that i use to cut my songs into ringtones and send them to my phone through a link in a text message. i can't get those either. the screen just sits there like i haven't done anything - same as it does at myxer. anyone have any ideas? should i just break down and buy a bluetooth adapter?

it'd be nice to be able to go to myxer and get things like i did on my phone that had wayyyy less "bells and whistles" than this one does...

    Re: Samsung Delve Ringtones?

I have the AllTel version of the Delve. To get Ringtones I use Zedge.com website. I Chose Samsung Instinct instead of the Delve when setting up my account because the Instinct has tons more wallpapers and ringtones to choose from (and they are essentially the same phone). Making your own ringtones is simple if you follow these steps exactly. Sounds complicated at first, but it really is simple.

    1. Choose a ringtone of your choice (or make your own by uploading music files and using the free ringtone maker at Zedge, just keep them under 12 seconds to save space on your Delve)

    2. DOWNLOAD and SAVE the ringtone TO a folder on YOUR COMPUTER you designated as "ring tones" (or whatever name you desire. Note- DO NOT choose the direct cellphone download option because it WILL NOT work for this model phone.

    3. Do steps 1 and 2 for as many ring tones as you like (I put 20 in my folder!)

    4. Now for the tricky part, renaming your ringtones (tricking your Delve into recognizing a different language)... Open the ringtone folder on your computer, right click the ringtone, click "rename", manually change the file extension from .mp3 to .qcp

For Example: "Babylaughing.mp3" is renamed as "babylaughing.qcp"

    5. Using a bluetooth dongle(about $10 at radio shack) Transfer one ringtone at a time or the entire folder to your DELVE.

    6. Your ringtone will go directly to the "my sounds" folder on the delve, choose this option when designating ring tones.

    7. VOILA!

Note- Be Sure to Remove your Micro SD Card Prior to starting or by Default your Delve will save the new ringtones to the card.

    Re: Samsung Delve Ringtones?

This is how I make custom ringtones for my Samsung Delve with Alltel.

Go to menu, multimedia, my sounds, record now, limit for message. Then record whatever sound clip you want. It will save it to your sounds and you can apply it as a ringtone. Very easy and simple.

    Re: Samsung Delve Ringtones?

Well if you're an Alltel owner like me, you've probably noticed it's darn near IMPOSSIBLE to get rings on your phone. Myxertones doesn't work, USB cable doesn't work. I've even tried to send it to my email but Alltel doesn't let you open the attachments.. Angry But I've researched it & I found out how to get ANY ring you want on your phone.

First find a site to download from. The site HAS to let you download the ring to your COMPUTER and not the phone. Myxertones does this I believe & so does Zedge.

Ok here's the trick: you HAVE to have a bluetooth enabled computer or a bluetooth dongle. Why? B/c for some odd reason, bluetoothing the ring is the only way it'll be accessible. You can get a dongle online for cheap or I just bought mine @ walmart for $20. Anyway, save any ringtones you want into a folder. Here, you have to change the file extension from mp3 to qcp. To display the file extensions, click on Tools>Folder Options, and uncheck "Hide Extensions for known file types". After you do that you can change the ringtone's type.

    Example:

    Myringtone.mp3

    Change to:

    Myringtone.qcp

From here you HAVE TO BLUETOOTH the file to the phone. If you try to do it via usb cable it will not work. BLUETOOTH is the only option. Using this process you'll be able to use any mp3 file on your phone by turning it into a qcp file. It sounds more complicated than it really is... LOL

If you want to make ringtones on the Samsung Delve on Alltel and DO NOT want to buy any bluetooth device then read my previous post. It is very simple and free.

i use myxer.com i have to send the ring tone where it say send to a friend and download it then send it as a as a picture text then save attached file and i get free ring tone. send it to yourself where it says friend download it

IT WORKS best from a home computer or any other phone besides yours if you use a a computer send to a friends phone OR HAVE YOUR FRIEND download it and send it to u as a picture text and send it back to you in a picture text and you save it as attached file and it will be free as many times as you want as many ring tones as you like there are millions but IT MUST BE SENT TO YOU IN A PICTURE MESSAGE TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD IT TO SAVE AS ATTACH FILE

    Re: Samsung Delve Ringtones?

I just figured out how to do free ringtones to the Samsung Delve that has AllTel service.

First, go to makeownringtone.com. Make your ringtone (you can cut down audio files to just the chorus, verse, etc.). Choose QCP as the output file format.

This is where it may differ for others, depending on their computer. I tried saving the file to my MicroSD card, but it didn't seem to work.

I ended up Blue-toothing it from my laptop to my phone. First, I had to connect to my phone from my laptop, via BlueTooth. Then I chose the 'My Music' folder of the phone. Then just connect and drag-and-drop the QCP ringtone files over. The files will end up in your 'My Sounds' folder on the phone. From there, these will work.

Btw, you can BlueTooth MP3 files to your phone, but it doesn't seem to allow you to apply these as ringtones.

I just found this site and thought I would share some info. If you have any questions, please don't post here, as I probably won't check back often, but feel free to e-mail me at: seamana1 [at] gmail.com

    Good luck!

HOW TO DOWNLOAD RING TONES TO THE SAMSUNG DELVE guys this is so simple your not going to believe it....

    1. use any standard ring tone maker (i used mobile17) create the ring tone and email it to yourself.

    2. save it on your desktop.

    3. go to axcessmypics and text it to yourself and save the file

    It's that easy

    standard pic messaging apply

i just got this phone yesterday so i dont have a memory card yet therefore there was not one in the phone when i saved the text i dont know if that matters

The "save item" is so that you can save pictures from the internet to your phone.

    1) Make sure "save items" option is on
    2) Return to the web browser to whatever Picture you want saved
    3) Push the Picture you wanted to save
    4) then Push the button in the top right corner that looks kinda like a ruler (where the magnifying glass was at)

Now you have successfully saved pictures from the internet!!
