Samsung rant extra card

I have a Samsung Rant which came with a microSD card already installed in the phone, a usb cable, and a second micro card too large to fit into the phone. I have been able to access the card, but cannot for the life of me figure out 1) how to download my (extensive) contact list to the computer like the user guide that came with the phone says I can, and 2) what the second, larger card is for. does it contain the software I need to download the contact list? if so where does this card go. There is no external connection for a card this size on my computer. So, the questions are: how do I download my contact list to my computer, and what is the second card for (and where does it go?) I would be thankful for any help I can get with this.

The second card is the adapter so you can pull the micro from your phone, place it in the adapter and put that into the card reader either on your computer or a portable usb card reader. I hope that helps a little bit!
