Samsung Blackjack 2 suddenly stopped working...dead?

Very weird. I have had this phone for a few months now. It has been great to me...

Last night I had not used it in a couple hours and I picked it up to send a txt to someone and when I pressed the buttons to wake it up it did not respond. So, I hit the power button on top thinking I must have locked the keypad and still, nothing. Ok...weird, hold the power button down longer, maybe the battery died or something, (although it should have started beeping if the battery was getting low)...still nothing.

SO....I'm thinking wtf...the phone has been sitting next to me while I was surfing the web for a couple hours and it never beeped or made a single noise...and now it's not working.

I plug it in to the charger and nothing. No lights, sounds, not a thing. Try to turn it on again, nothing. I tried taking out the battery and putting it back in...still nothing.

It's never been dropped in water (the moisture indicator sticker thingy is white) and I've only dropped it on carpet one time about a month ago. Never has it hit the ground or a hard surface.

I can't figure it out.

Re: Samsung Blackjack 2 suddenly stopped working...dead?

Update...I let a buddy take a look at it and he tinkered with it for a few minutes. He got it to work and said that all he did was push on the 3 copper colored spring contacts in and out a few times. I tried to do that earlier in teh day without success so I don't know what he did different but it worked.

Update 2: Phone worked for another week or so and then died again. I tried pressing on the copper contacts but it didn't work. I'm not sure what the deal is. I emailed Samsung about it and they wrote back said that I needed to call their customer care department and do some troubleshooting over the phone. I will post what happens.
