blank screen

Anybody know why the screen goes blank on a Samsung phone. It's just a cheap slider phone but the phone works fine except for the screen is blank, whicj means I can't text or receive texts and don't know who is calling when the phone rings.

Try taking the battery out for 10 seconds then turn in back on. If that doesn't work take the battery out overnight while u sleep...when you wake up put it back in and turn it back on. If that doesn't work time for a new phone =D
