Samsung e2151 connection to pc

Hi all,
I am using samsung E2151 phone and i bought a datacable today.My PC Operating system
is Win XP SP 3.I installed samsung pc studio 7 in my computer.But when i plug the phone and
the pc with the usb cable samsung pc studio does not detect the phone.Even though it doesnt
detect the phone,my phone indicates that it is syncronized with the pc.

Can somebody help with this to sort it out.

Find your phone settings, switch the USB connection to Mass media storage.
Reboot phone, connect phone to PC and the phone should pop up or show up as devices with removable storage
