Samsung Admire Camera function

Hello my name is Ryan. My Samsung Admire has been running great for the last 4 months now when I click the camera option the phone says "cannot connect to camera". I have tried taking out the battery for a 30 seconds to a minute then restarting the phone and going to the camera option through the gallery with no success. Does anyone know how I can get my phone to take pictures again?
