GT-S3572 Problem with characters in messages

If someone here has already passed the problem I describe below, please respond to this message.

My Samsung GT-S3572 came with a problem you do not know to solve: when I write SMS messages (text messages), I can not use the typical Portuguese characters (accents, tilde, etc..). Check the language and there is the Portuguese selected (the only other options are Spanish and English). However, when I write, accents, tilde, etc.. that appear are the Danish or Norwegian, not the Portuguese. Interestingly, this problem does not happen when I insert new names in the phonebook of the handset. Only happens when writing messages, which is somewhat unpleasant.

I just upgraded the firmware via Kies, but the problem continues. Thank you in advance for any help ...
