Setting up Exchange Email
- From the Start screen, touch the Settings tile.
- Or, in case the Settings tile is no longer located on the Start screen, swipe left -> scroll down and touch Settings.
- Then touch email + accounts.
- Touch add an account.
- Touch Outlook.
- In the Email address field, enter the desired email address.
- In the Password field, enter your password.
- Then tap sign in.
- Tap the User name and Domain and enter the required information (if necessary).
- When finished, tap sign in.
- Touch Server address and enter the correct information, if necessary.
- Then tap show all settings.
- Now check or uncheck Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection, as necessary.
- Tap Account name and enter the desired name.
- When finished, tap sign in.
- Congratulations, your Exchange email account has been successfully set up!
Setting up IMAP Email
- Go to the Start screen and touch the Settings icon.
- Or, in case the Settings tile is no longer located on the Start screen, swipe left -> scroll down and touch Settings.
- Then touch email + accounts.
- Tap add an account and touch advanced setup.
- In the Email address filed, enter your email address.
- In the Password field, enter your password.
- When done, tap sign in.
- Then tap Internet email.
- Tap the Account name field and enter the domain of your email address. For example: Gmail.
- Tap the Your name field and enter the desired name.
- In the Incoming email server field, enter imap.your-email-domain.com. Such as imap.gmail.com.
- Then tap Account type -> select IMAP4.
- In the User name field, enter your email address.
- In the Outgoing (SMTP) email server field, enter smtp.you-email-domain.com -> touch advanced settings.
- Check Require SSL for incoming email and Require SSL for outgoing email.
- Then touch Download new content and Download email from and make the desired settings.
- When ready, tap sign in.
Setting Up POP3 Email
- Go to the Start screen and touch the Settings icon.
- Or, in case the Settings tile is no longer located on the Start screen, swipe left -> scroll down and touch Settings.
- Then touch email + accounts.
- Tap add an account and touch advanced setup.
- In the Email address filed, enter your email address.
- In the Password field, enter your password.
- When done, tap sign in.
- Then tap Internet email.
- Tap the Account name field and enter the domain of your email address. For example: Hotmail.
- Tap the Your name field and enter the desired name.
- In the Incoming email server field, enter pop3.your-email-domain.com. For example: pop3.live.com.
- Then tap Account type -> select POP3.
- In the User name field, enter your email address.
- In the Outgoing (SMTP) email server field, enter smtp.live.com -> touch advanced settings.
- Check Require SSL for incoming email and Require SSL for outgoing email.
- Then touch Download new content and Download email from and make the desired settings.
- When finished, touch sign in.
Setting Up a Windows Live Account
- Go to the Start screen and touch the Settings icon.
- Or, in case the Settings tile is no longer located on the Start screen, swipe left -> scroll down and touch Settings.
- Then tap email + accounts.
- Tap add an account.
- Tap Microsoft account.
- Read the BEFORE YOU SIGN IN prompt -> then tap next.
- Enter the necessary login information for your Microsoft account and touch sign in.
- Finally, select your preferred back up option.
- Your Microsoft account is now set up.
