I have just purchased a Citroen (C5 2011). While my Nokia X3-02 has no trouble synching with the car's Bluetooth system, the Galaxy S2 does. When the Nokia synchs, I can access all my contacts in the phone by using the vehicle's controls and screen. However while the Galaxy synchs with the Bluetooth system, it shows it's connected and I can receive and make calls, but I have to do this using the phone, after which the connection works ok and is hands-free. Is there some setting in the Galaxy S2 that I need to make so that I can make and receive phone calls using the Bluetooth system in the Vehicle. As I say, the little ol' Nokia works just fine. Why won't the S2?

Re: Galaxy S2 Bluetooth connection
I believe this has to do with the rSAP bluetooth profile or the PBA profile. Are you running at least Android 4.0.4 on the phone?

Re: Galaxy S2 Bluetooth connection
No, it's Gingerbread 2.3.4. Perhaps that is the problem. The post above yours (which now seems to have disappeared!) recommended a driver update and included the link, but as I say, the post seems to have disappeared. Can you help me with the link? Otherwise, it looks like a new phone which I don't really need as this one works so well.

Re: Galaxy S2 Bluetooth connection
Samsung Customer Service has given me a new link to a Kies version which I have now downloaded and appears to have updated the phone. Will have another shot at the Bluetooth link later today and post the result. Thanks again

Re: Galaxy S2 Bluetooth connection
Have found another website which shows that the C5 bluetooth is not compatible with the Galaxy S2. I've decided I'll just stick with the Nokia X3 which works brilliantly. Thanks to everyone for the advice.

Re: Galaxy S2 Bluetooth connection
As I haven'y posted 10 items yet, I apparently can't post the link. Just Google "Citroen C5 Bluetooth Mobile Phone compatibility" and you should find it. It's not very helpful though because the site doesn't list very many phones. Worth a look I guess.
