you cant really send throught phone to phone but com to phone via infra or mms...

but i prefer using the cable becoz the ir port for v200 arent that good..... may error may occur when using the ir... kinda troublesome compared to nokia phones

on the topic of IR...does anyone else have this problem, my 6610 connects to my pc IR but wont connect to other phones

dun think this is in the correct place... in nokia should be better.. ok since it's posted then ans it...

6 series of nokia can be connected to computer and other phones. but when i comes to connecting to transfer data, that's not possible... it the same with all the other phones, those i know that can transfer data from phone to phone (nokia phones onli) are 7650 and 3650

i've never had any errors or problems with irda transfer with v200 or any other samsung phones. must've been a defect with your phone or something. i've transfer items to several v200's and not one of them gave me irda problems. i've had a lot of trouble with SE t68i.

you can't. you will need a pc, easy gprs and irda adapter or oem cable to transfer tones and graphics.

i have a samsung e700, ,an irda cable and the correct software for the phone. i can transfer phone numbers with the pc but it won't let me transfer any tones or pics. can anyone please help.

Only phones that support SyncML can connect one another.
3650, 7650, 3660, 6600, P800,P900, XDA 1,2 Treo etc can interconnect with each other as the support syncML

Hey spiderwal, I have C100 and use EasyGPRS. It never lets me use pic or tiones through iR, but ok with phone nos. I guess Samsung felllows don't bother about their software as they do for the hardware.

i've sorted it mate. you have to use the file manager part of the program.

what do mean filemanager part? Please explain

No, samsung phones do not accept files thru ir. irda is for v card and pc comm for gprs

are u trying to transfer pic and tones out of the phone to pc?

No, he is facing exactly the same prob as me.
Phone nos and SMS are nicely Syncing, but the media is not.

if u open up easystudio and have the connection thru the irda active you can go to tool, then filemanager. in the top box click on the + next to the phone and it will say sounds, pictures etc. in the bottom box you can see whats on your computer. to transfer a tune, find it in the bottom box and then click on upload to transfer it onto the phone. if you're still struggling let me know.
