ive been hearing how um the lg vx6000 phones are able to have like voice ringtones by simply just having a mp3 file then just renaming the file to a midi file n then just upload it.. i was wondering are u able to do that with the samsung s105 phone since it could play dead ringers..

No, it's actually a long process. You have to get an mp3, cut it down to about 8 seconds, then convert it to 8000 16 bit mono wav, THEN convert to .mmf.

i'm curious, what software would you suggest using to convert wav to mmf, ellecsor? i have found several programs, free and shareware that convert wavs to midi but do a horrible job of it. i'm familiar with psm player to convert midis to mmfs but that's not the hard part.

doesn't always work, fails more often than works. tried that already.
