    E700 kills the Z600.
    Camera is MUCH better.
    Theres' a LOT more memory.
    Reception is better.
The Z600 ringer isn't even in the same league.
    Z600 is too chunky.
But the E700 doesn't have Bluetooth (for the minority that see it as a must have)

    See More: E700 or Z600?

But there should be no difference between a E700 40 poly ringer and a Z600 32 poly ringer. The human ear can't notice the difference.
What you lookin' here for ehhh?

There is however a massive diffence in speakers.
The E700 with the right sort of tone (mmf) is at least double the loudness of the equivalent (midi) tone played on the Z600.

The E700 has a Yamaha chipset which is like a mini ringer amplifer or soudn card. The Z600 doesn't have this.

Makes a big difference across the room with TV noise in the background. Missing calls on the Z600 because your favourite midi played too soft is really annoying.

Oh, does it mean that it's like the useless Nokia 3510 which had ringtones so soft, that you had to solely depend on the vibrator, and you couldn't even hear it if it was in your pocket.
What you lookin' here for ehhh?

Ok samsung do have the edge on the hardware side (kinda) BUT in the end its a samsung and if the e700 is like the other samsungs i have hade (t100 mostly) in the end it will let you down with stupid lil things. But for someone like me the e700 connectivity is crap for some reason cant upload games and still dont know how to delete uploaded pics and ringtones when done by data cable.

Agree Nokia 3510 polys were pretty useless - in that case had to rely on standard tones.

I've had the opportunity to try the Z600 vs E700 and that's how I could see, hear and feel (Z600 is pretty chunky) a clear difference.

Sony Ericsson have really dissapointed re. camera and ring tone performance in the T610 and Z600.

Think its a closer decision between Panasonic's x70 and the E700 though. The Panasonic menu structure takes a bit of getting used to, isn't java and the camera takes smaller pictures than most rivals (but better quality than the Z600).
On the upside, it has one of the best form factors for a clam phone, vibrant yamaha chipset & a reasonable amount of memory (not as much as the E700 but a lot mroe than the Z600).

Also had the opportunity to try Nokia's 6230, 7200, 7600, plus a dozen other up-coming/recently released models so commentary is 1st hand.
