hi, i got some ringtones i want to put on my cell phone, but i dont wanna pay for one of those services that just hold ur files and let u dl them via WAP to ur fone, so i setup my own storage space on my dad's webserver, only to find that my ringtones r simply being played, rather than dling. i remember reading somewhere that u need some sort of header at the beginning of the file, but i cant remember where i read it. does neone kno what this header should include, and whether or not i just simply add it to the .qcp file as ASCII or is there some "special" way of doing it? ne help is greatly appreciated. thanks!

ahhh stupid old me... i found an answer in another forum... apparently you have to use a .gcd file which contains the header info.

for anyone who is interested, here is how the file looks (anything in double brackets is a comment, REMOVE THEM! ):

Content-Type: audio/vnd.qcelp ((this is for .qcp files. change accordingly))
Content-Name: Still D.R.E. ((this is the name you see on your phone))
Content-Version: 1.0 ((not important, shows up in properties))
    Content-Vendor: Justin ((same as version))
Content-URL: http://mysite.com/ringtones/THISONE.qcp ((full path to file to download))
Content-Size: 34504 ((size of file to download, in bytes))

hope this helps nebody who wants to do this too.. feel free to ask me any questions regarding this as i have gotten it working perfectly.
