phone uploader websites

I want to know if websites like http://pcs.cruz-network.net/index.php or any other kind that have phone uploaders, do they cost anything at all to send ringtones and stuff.

They say its free but does it cost at all, like text message charges or something. How does it work? Do you get a text message, do you have to go online with your phone? The website i put above says to put in my sms address. What is sms?

Please someone post with answers, its lot of questions and some may be stupid.

is free.theyll send u a text message.secondly you have to go online with your phone.your sms address is youre phone number.i just find out a day ago.i use it to upload my custom created ringtones,screensavers, and pictures hope this helps.
