Sanyo SCP-8400 announced for Sprint

"This major upgrade to the 8300 adds Bluetooth, music player, memory card slot, EVDO high-speed data. The camera has also been upgraded to 1.3 megapixel, and the display to QVGA resolution. Other features include speakerphone and call screening. Available in several colors, and can accommodate snap-on color plates on the front."

The SCP-8400 was approved by the FCC on August 21, 2006. Will it come out for the holidays?

OH MAN!! I just got my 8300, now I have to go get that one. But I can sell this one for more money because it is less used. Did you get an approx. price?? I need to start saving. I'm happy about it having bluetooth and a music player with a memory slot. Maybe what colors will be availiable. Thank you for the information.

Does anyone know if you can assign an mp3 for a ringtone that you transfer from your computer with this new phone?

I think the 8400 looks kind of ugly. Of the 8100, 8200, 8300, and 8400, I'd have to say that the 8300 was the best design. It has the best keypad.

Re: Sanyo SCP-8400 announced for Sprint

I have a problem with my Sanyo SCP-8400 and a Jabre BT-160 bluetooth earpiece!
The only way to make a call with the earpiece is with a voicetag. Although I can use the earpiece to redial the last call dialed. I dial a number with the keypad or contacts list and immediately hit end! Tap the button on the earpiece twice and it will make the call. You can not just dial a number from the phone and switch to the earpiece.

I can not switch to the earpiece when I have a call in progress! This is the thing that bugs me the most!

Is this normal operation? Have I missed some instructions on the phone or earpiece manual? Is there a work around?

Thanks,
lcox
