Sanyo Katana - Sub lcd logo

I just purchased the sanyo Katana from sprint for my wife, and we've been beating our heads against the wall attempting to remove/disable/replace the "Katana" logo/words that display on the sub lcd.
I've googled my little heart out, and can't seem to find a clear answer.
Any suggestions?

Why you never really see that anyway, that's only when your phones open. You probably can't unless you really hack into, I have no idea

Hopefully somebody will be able to come to the rescue and help you out as I have no clue when it comes to your type of phone.

Yes I have a KATANA and I don't think there is a way to get rid of it. Can you tell me if the KATANA has video on it?

you can't change it saying katana on the small screen when the phone is open. you can change it to whatever you want on the big screen when open and it says the same thing on the small screen when the phone is closed. go into menu, settings, display, greeting. choose custom and it will let you type in what you want.

First of all it had nothing to do with getting whatever score thing your talking about up, and 2nd it was a mere question as to why you would wanna change that Katana logo. Me myself think it's a nice looking logo, and as far as you saying it's theree when you close it as well??? This I have never seen before, when I close mine it switches back to the LCD sub logo that it chosen inside the Katana menus like xtac said. Hence there is no option for changing the Katana part manually nor do I see the picture stored anywhere on my phone for viewing. Which is why I said the only way would be to hack into it and change it manually, but like I was saying you don't see the logo when the phone is open becuase usually when it's open your looking at the front or talking to someone. I have no idea how to change it and posted because no one else did and wanted to know why because of not seeing it when using your phone, that was why I posted.

The sub-lcd can be changed to any pic you want by going to my content on your menu. Go to "Menu/My Content/Screensavers/your picture (any name you chose). After you highlight the picture name, hit options and choose to set it as your screensaver then choose LCD or subLCD.
As far as pictures, you'll need to send them to your phone with text message links. I personnaly use Crostel.com but there are other sites too
