    Hi all

I have a sanyo Katana DLX and am running mac os x leopard on my computer.
I have several questions: I'm interested in clipping songs and making ringtones for myself from the music I already own. I used audacity (a sound editing program) to clip a song, I used my bluetooth between my mac and my phone to upload the clip. It successfully loads to the sd card but cannot be set as a ringtone. I tried both mp3 and aac file formats (converted the song to an aac using itunes) and none of them can be set to ringtones. The ringtones I have downloaded sport a .koz extension and I'm assuming there's no way to convert an mp3 to a .koz is there?

Another question: I bought that usb data cable, but the phone does not mount in my os x, at all, shows nothing. Am I missing a driver? I couldn't find them via sprint.com

Final question: why is it that all of my data shows up on my sd card or phone but the downloaded ringtones I obtained through sprint do NOT show up on the card or phone, but in 'my media'. Is there some sort of oober secret folder tucked away somewhere that I'm missing? and if so, can it be located and files that are dropped there be set as ringtones? or is ringtone status exclusive to .koz files?

thanks for any and all help!

Re: help with a katana dlx and ringtones/data transfer

i'm pretty sure that you are not goign to be able to download songs or sounds and use them as ringtones because of the way sprint locks up the phone's capability. your going to have to try to text yourself the ringtone or download it from sprint
