I want to use my Sanyo MVP phone!

I have a Sanyo MVP phone that I used with the now defunct "Mobile ESPN" plan a couple of years ago. Is there anyway to free-up/unlock the DEC # so I can use it?

I have asked Sprint (my wireless provider) but they say the phone/DEC # shows as being in a service plan.... It's not! It's sitting in my cupboard!!

I love this phone and would really like to use it again....
