I recently bought a new cell phone on Ebay and put it on my old plan that I have with Bell. The phone was new and was "locked" to Bell, so it was a very simply matter to add it.

My question is; I would like to now "unlock" my old Sanyo Katana-LX phone and put it on a calling card plan so that my children can use it when they go out. I wonder if this can be done? The phone will just be used for emergencies and calling home when a ride is needed. At least until they are a little older :-) So can I UNlock the phone and just attach it somehow to a calling card program?
