Hi, I just got a new phone (siemens not nokia but I thought I would post here cause there's more people) and i can't take my sim card out. I want to put it back in my old phone, but there is a metal covering protecting the card (I think the manual refers to it as the holder tab). Should I try and pry this open, or is there any other way I can take the sim card out? Thanks a lot.

#3 | | Junior Member | the phone is a siemens CF62T. I tried to gently pry the metal open with but it's not budging...and i don't see anywhere where it might swing open. All the manual mentions is how to get the card in - "Place the sim card in the slot with the contact surface facing downwards. Gently push the holder tab (the metal covering?) over the sim card." It doesn't say anything about getting it out. thanks

#10 | | Newbie | HOW TO GET SIM CARD OUT:
don't use too much force, it could damage the card & holder tab. on some phones the silver holder tab can be pushed down (i'm thinking moto tabs do this). try to push tab down with your finger tip. if these don't work go see a rep!!

#11 | | | On my nokia 3200, you slide the metal towards the front end of the sim, then lift.

#15 | | Junior Member | NONONONO NOT ALL SIEMENS ARE PUSH UP AND OUT! some models have the metal bit in the middle...
use a nail and slowly push on the flat side, going outwards with the little
push down using a nail from the top
