Can anyone provide me with unlock code ( at present locked on Telstra ) and instructions how to unlock

When I had a Siemens A56 with Fido, the unlock code (if I know what you're talking about) was the month I was born, followed by the last 2 numbers of my phone number example 12 67

Nah, they want to unlock the phone's subsidy lock so the phone can be used with a different GSM provider. I suggest calling your provider, and tell them you need to travel overseas and would like to use a local european SIM in your current phone. This is usually a good enough excuse for them to provide you with the unlock code, or at least it works for Cingular
