Z500a question

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum...i have a quick question...I have read through my manual and i cant find anywhere in it how to be able to open my phone without answering it...Here is what i want to happen...when my phone rings, i want to be able to open the flip, but not have the phone call be answered...if anyone can tell me how to do this, it would be much appreciated...thanks guys and girls...

I have the same phone. I honestly don't know. I would just wait until they stop calling, then flip it. Why would you want to flip it when someone is calling and not answer it anyway?

i have this phone and you can press a volume button to stop the ringing than wait to flip if the ringing bothers you aside from this i dont think you can change it

I know - real annoying when you open THEN realize you dont want to answer. Real annoying

you have a full color screen on the front with caller id why do you need to open it to realize you doint want to answer the phone?

i used to have the z500 and im pretty sure there's an option on the phone where you can choose to answer when opened or not

When you first open the phone when receiving a call, it displays two options on the bottom, one is to answer, the other is to send it to voicemail. It looks like the phone is capable of having the option to not answer the phone after opening it, but I can't find a menu item to keep the phone from automatically connecting.
