is the phone unlock? if you have cingular phone and use t-mo sim in it you will lose some of the function of the phone. you cannot go to t-zone, delivery report for txt massaging will loss. theres alot of setting need to change and i think only a pro cell phone guy can help you with this.

try to go in this site. www.cellularpager.com email them first about your problem and see if they can program your phone. this is where i send my phone if i have a problem. they located in california. if they can do something about your phone and you gonna send it to them, go for first class with delivery conformation mail just to know if they recieve your phone. for your own safe this is what i do. they repair, flash, unlocking.

i have nokia unlocker which you can unlock your phone thru code. sony ericsson and motorola is hard to unlock, you need a data cable and unlocking software to unlock this kind of phone. if you need your sony to get unlock just buy $20 money order and send it to them and the shipping cost to send it back to you is included to that $20.
because right just the data cable cost $17 and the unlocking software coast $35 if you send it to them for $20 i think that's worth it! and no headache.

you can unlock the z500a for $20 using a T28 Unlock cable and Total Server software. The only trouble right now is that if you use tmobile on that phone it's still going to have all the silly cingular branding. I'm looking into a way to unbrand that phone for just such an occasion.

EDIT 05-14-2005: IT IS NOW POSSIBLE TO UNBRAND THE Z500a as well! now you can remote all that lame cingular branding and use a nice fresh Z500a with tmobile.

regardless, you should still be able to set your phone up to use t-mobiles wap/mms/internet

I posted a link to their online configurator this thread

the z500a is not actually listed on there, but I'd just try haveing z600 or t610 settings sent down to the phone. they will probabally work.

    good luck!

    Sincerly,

yeh, u can go to the sony ericsson site itself and if u navigate to the z500 section, u should be able to send the necessary internet settings to ur phone
