Sony Ericsson s710 major problem

the other day i fell asleep after getting off the phone with someone, phone was working fine, put it on my night stand, and fell asleep, woke up the next morning to my phone ringing (still on the night stand) and i tried to pick it up and my earpiece was broken, no background noise or anything, it was almost as if it didn't turn on. The speakerphone and everything else still works perfectly fine on the phone, its just the actual earpiece. does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do about this? has anyone experienced this problem? any sort of replies would be greatly appreciated

call your provider and see about doing a handset exchange. hopefully it's under warranty with them. otherwise you'll need to contact SE for repair.
