w810 - changing the banner

Does anybody know if there is a way to change the banner on the main screen of the w810 phone?

do you mean that annoying providors symbol on top of the screen?? i hate that thing lol...since i'm with Rogers it always says rogers on top of mine...unfortunatly i do not know how to get rid of it...maybe unlocking the phone might help

Yes that's exactly what i mean. I'm also with Rogers.

And yes, i believe debranding it will void the warranty... so that's not an option for me.

I don't think you can get rid of it, even after debranding.

Debranding will get rid of the carriers logos, icons, etc and reset it back to the manufacturers's own.

Yeah, I think the "banner" everyone means is the indicator for the current carrier. It doesn't have anything to do with brand or lock. My last SE was a T610 unlocked and it changes depending on which network you're using. I went to Spain with it and it changed to Movistar. My current SE is the W810 and it's still locked to Rogers. The point is that it will always display the name of the current network.
