Does anybody have a problem with this phone's volume being too soft? When I'm out at a supermarket persay, I can barely hear the person speaking on the other end.
Any solutions???

Re: w810 volume too soft
have you tried turning up the SPEAKER volume? the Walkman uses a totally different speaker. You should be able to change this through the settings.

Yeah, this is a well know problem with the w810i. One thing you could try, although not very convenient, is to turn on the speaker phone, turn the volume down, and use the phone backwards. You might get some odd looks though.

Re: w810 volume too soft
I know the earpiece speaker and Walkman speaker are not the same, but I found that if I go into the Walkman mode and max the volume there with the side "+ & -" button...the earpiece volume is actually a little louder! I can't explain it, but it works.
Both of my past w810i's were Cingular branded, and there was a definate increase in earpiece volume when I debranded with Wotanserver. I've got another one coming soon from Cingular that I plan to debrand before I even take the plastic off the screen!

Volume too soft? I am having the same problem, so I am planning to sell it and buy a 850i. Can somebody tell me the advantages and disadvantages of 810i vs. 850i?
