Hi Everyone!

I have a question and concern about Memory Sticks from Sony. Recently I picked up a W810i with Rogers and I was elligable for the 4gb memory upgrade for FREE. So I did it, and 2 weeks later my memory stick pro duo arrived.

I have a PSP and a Sony DSCV-1 camera. They ALL use Memory Pro Duo's in them, and they are all Sandisk brand cards. I have 2 4gig cards, 2 1 gig cards and all 3 work perfectly accept one. The Sony one.

When I put the card into my card reader, my computer says "The disc is not formatted" but it works perfectly fine in the PSP and Ericsson. My sandisks have no problem reading from the PSP or the ericson or my USB card reader.

Does Sony use some kind of protection against letting PCS' read their memory stick if its not a sony product? whats with this magicgate stuff?
