Sony Ericsson W950 On Sprint?

My friend said he would trade me his w950 for a few items. He told me to put my SIM card inside his phone to test it out. Yet, I have sprint, which he tells me doesn't use SIM cards. So, how can I get sprint on the W950 without buying it direct from them?

K, thats what I thought. I guess ill just trade and sell it, since im getting it really really cheap from him :P

...also, you can't buy the W950 from Sprint. How much are you getting it for anyway?
