    Hey all,

I just got my AT&T white SE W580i, and I love it. I have 3 questions though.

    1. Is it possible to change the side "mood" light color, or does that depend on the theme?

    2. Is it possible to make the side "mood" lights flash to the music? (I know the phone can't do it as is, but is there something you can download to get it to do that. I know the W850i has lights that flash to the music).

    3. Is it possible to get any mp3 as a ringtone?

    Thanks, Mike S

    1. Yes, there is menu item that allow the user to select different "mood lights", but don't know if user created mood light setting can be added.

    2. Don't know, but I think it should be possible.

    3. Yup, I can load and play any MP3 as ringtone, but it will be depends on your provider, if they have certain features locked.

    1) It depends on the theme you have.

    2) Interesting question...never thought about that lol, but I will try to find out.
Btw, it may look nice and all, but how often are you gonna have your phone out when listening to music? Also, by having it flashing to the music, it will drain battery like crazy.

    3) AT&T locked that feature, so you will have to flash/unlock/debrand your phone if you want to do that lol... But yes, is it possible.

    Re: 3 W580i questions.

I just got my 580i and i been picking at it like none other. I tihnk I've figured basically everything out. Since the first 2 questions have been answered, the 3rd answer is, Yes, you can use an MP3 Ringtone. I make my own ringtones. My room mate has a walkman also, but can't play any mp3 that is longer than 30 seconds. So all my ringtones are less than that.

WHAT I DID FIND OUT FOR THE 580i IS that it doesn't recognize any VBR mp3's (variable bitrate) so i reloaded them as 128bit and now they all work. they are all mp3, are about 30 seconds long, and sound great.

Now that I have answered that question, it should be stickied.
