Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy my first cell phone, and have narrowed my choices down to the SE W810 and the W580. I would prefer to purchase the W580 because I really like slider phones, but have heard terrible things about the camera on it.

My question is, is there really a big difference between the camera on the W810 and the W580, and why?

Also, if someone could post a sample picture from either phone, that would be terrific.

The camera on the W580i isn't that bad, as long as lighting is optimum. The same can be said with the majority of camera phones out there. If there is not enough lighting or the environment is dim, then pictures will tend to be crappy. The thing that the W810i's camera has over the W580i is that it uses Auto Focus. If you are going to use your phone more for listening to music than taking pictures, then the camera wouldn't affect you that much. If not for the cam on the W810i, just about everything else is better on the W580i. It has A2DP stereo bluetooth, the 'Shake' feature, Walkman 2.0 (which is more intuitive than on the W810i), and a few other minor improvements.

For pictures, you can find them on other discussion boards or cell phone websites. I believe GSMArena has some sample pics. Otherwise, just use a search engine like Google, and some links would be provided.

Ok I am an owner of the w580i...the camera is terrible.
All pictures and videos are in big pixels. It is bad!
The camera is not as bad as the video. I think they should redo every w580i.
I do not know if the pictures are the same but I am sure the w800 or whatever is better!

I am just an angry forum-guy.
You just pick what you want but do remember you were warned...

Like peryus88 said, camerawise would be the 810i.

The 580 breaks down easily, features aren't as good, only stylish.
The 810i has more features than the 580 does. Best feature on the 810i would probably be the auto focus and Flash, takes GREAT pics night and day.
