W810i LED Issue

Well I’ve gone and done the impossible,
Now what you are about to read sounds a bit farfetched, but it is the truth. Now I come home one day from work and it was a really hot day probably 110 degrees, my room is so warm that as soon as I enter it a blast of heat just hits me like a brick wall. I come in to put my work bag down, and I drop my phone the Sony Ericsson, W810i on the side table, but as luck would have it my little brother was in my room before I came and he left his cap gun shots on my table. As soon as the phone hit the table I heard the caps go off bang* bang* bang* and a flame popped up, which was about an inch because of the paper underneath (which by the way, was an assignment for school). The flame died down and I managed to get my assignment to survive, but throughout all of this my emotions were: then then extremely mad at my brother.
I checked if everything was working and, I found that the phone was perfectly fine, except for the LED, I took it to a guy at a local mall and he said he could fix it, and later he said “sorry I cannot fix the LED".

Now that you have heard my story I just wanted to ask if anyone knew if I either needed to just get the LED replaced or, I need to get the hardware replaced, (or possibly get another phone)?
