Ringtone Questions for s500i

Hey guys.

I was thinking about buying the an unlocked s500i through the internet and have a few questions:

• is the ringtone volume loud enough for you?
• can you add your own made mp3s and set them as ringtones?
• can you set the SMS/MMS ringtone to a mp3 ringtone i made?

I've only used it for about 3 days while a friend went overseas. I just helped him pick up phone calls so this may not be that accurate, as I wasn't too attached to the phone, but I hope this helps;

1) The Volume was at a decent level, as long as you're not blasting the car volume or something to a huge level you should be able to hear it, depending on your ear sensitivity. I always feel the vibration in my pocket so I dont always rely on the ringtone.

2) Yes, most Sony Ericsson phones can, you just need it unlocked (De-Branding)

3) Yes, same as Answer to Question 2, need it de-branded.

Another question: I'm getting the s500i from a website called myworldphone .com, and they send it unlocked, so I can just stick my SIM card inside the phone. Is that already debranded?

Yes, so long as the phone is unlocked, you will be able to Stick any SIM card into the phone and instantly be able to use it. In theory the phone should have no branding on it, though there can be some exceptions. For instance, my network, 02, often sells its phones unlocked, but the all the 02 icons, such as internet shortcuts and startup sequences are on there. Basically all this means is that you will be able to use it one any network, but the phone will have a few icons and features associated with the intended network. Hope this helps!
