Sony ercisson w810i memory stick problem

I recently purchased a w810i from ebay it came with a 4gb memory stick with magic gate. when I try to load more than 900mb of songs or anything it is not read by the phone.

if its songs the folders show up but inside the folders files like with seemingly random names show up.

if I try to save anything to the memory stick it doesnt work and my computer reads all files the phone also shows the memory as being used but simply can't access the files any ideas?

The phone was debranded before I got it

The software version is cxc1250316 r4ea031

and it happens both when I add the files using a card reader and directly using the phone

I am using mediamonkey to transfer the files to MS/MP3/Album Artist/Album

maybe your phone reads a different format, instead of mp3. i have the a sony phone also and it came with software to upload the music into my phone. did yours come with software?

yeah I tried using the disk2phone software as well with no better results thanks for your help
