To buy a new phone How is SonyErricson?

I wish to buy a new handset what I can make my own mp3/midi flile as a ringer tune. I've never used sonyerricson so just to know from u how do u like it? I heard sonyerricson's menu fuction is not userfriendly or not very simple. What u say? However I will go to a debranded set as that is required to do own ringtune things.

I've been using the Sony Ericsson W710i since December of last year and I absolutely love it. The phone I had before was a Motorola RAZR and I find the software and functionality of the Sony to be far superior than that of Motorola. In fact, I don't think I'd ever go back! The Sony was purchased directly from our local Sony store so it's completely unbranded and all of the features work. It's the only way I'd purchase a phone from now on. I don't know if a walkman phone interests you but I use mine quite a bit when I'm out walking or on transit. I also have the Sony MBS-100 portable bluetooth speaker which is fantastic. I sat in the garden last weekend bluetoothing music from my phone to the speaker for 2½ hours and it's barely made a dent in my battery life. I'm really impressed with it. You're not going to get huge sound out of it but it's far more than I ever expected. Over all, I have been very happy with my Sony phone and I would definitely stay with them for my next phone. I hope you find one you like... you wont' be sorry.

what u meant by "u r not going to get huge sound out of it" could u pl clarify it? Did u mean it has very few default ringer tunes. I'm spacially ringertune freak that's why I'm selling Samsung A516 garbage came with the package. It didn't let me make mp3 as ringtune. Sony has their own store in N.America sold their phone directly not through the network provider it's good for the customer like me.
However I like walkman phone if it means mp3 playback compatible.

I was referring to the MBS-100 portable speaker that I use with my W710i phone. You're not going to get huge sound out of it because, let's face it, it's a small portable speaker but it's better than you would expect. Type MBS-100 into YouTube and check it out... there's lots of videos on it.

The phone (W710i) is fantastic and comes with really great earphones. You can use what ever song you want for a ring tone... mp3 or the standard ones the phone comes with. I personally use an mp3 ringtone that I created. When listening to it as a walkman, it sounds no different than any other mp3 player. The earphones that comes with it produce great sound... it even has a FM receiver that can be used when the earphones are plugged in (I guess they work as the antenna). I hope that clarifies my comments a little better for you.

I loved my Sony Ericsson w580i. But I found the speaker to never be loud enough. The screen was probably the best quality screen I've found in a cell phone company. I would definitely suggest Sony Ericsson.

Did u mean speaker volume is low while u talk? Sometimes call might have low sound which is not adequate. Or u meant songs volume are low comperitibely?
Other ques for u......does ur phone has "mega bass" while playing mp3 songs. As I heard it's a walkman phone and sony features mega bass.

S500i is the one i have now i LOVE the black/green color look lol it's other features are good also. Sony Ericsson series arnt hard to use ^__^ i find it the most simplest among the other types of CPs. Good for playing music also

I've had a K300i and now I'm using a K800i and I must tell you that the menu is very clear and user friendly. SE is the best from my point of view,as long as you don't buy a branded one(as I did) which may restrict some of it's functions

SE is basically good value for money phone compared to nokia. The style and camera is also AA standard. SO go for SE
