I have the w960i all of a sudden my touchscreen doesnt work properly. I have had it for 4 months and this problem only happened once but was easily fixed. Whenever i touch the screen wherever it may be it automatically goes to the task manager which is the top right corner. The last time this happened i just wiped the screen off and it was ok but this time nothing i have tried is working. I tried taking out the battery, cleaning the screen all to no avail. Any suggestions im desperate.

    Thank you

I would like to bring this topic up again. Same problem as stated in first post. Normally the problem fixes itself within a day or so but this time it hasnt. I tried to do a master reset but you cant even do that because you need to press something on the phone. Please help i dont want to have to get a new phone.

Sometimes it's due to the protective sheet people stick on the screen...
i don't own a 960, but i have had this problem with other touch screen devices and it never came back after i removed the protective sheet.

sounds like the 'touchpad' section of the LCD assembly has or is going bonkers. A reputable technician can replace that touchscreen section, providing the part can be sourced

If you press certain options on the screen and something else pops up, then either the touchscreen needs to be changed or the screen needs re-aligning. I think the touchscreen needs replacing though cause you did mention it happens often

Hey, I have the exact same problem with my W960i, but now i found out that if you hold it between your hands and breath on it like you do to warm your hands in the winter, it might work. I think there is something wrong with the plastic that the touchscreen is made of or something... I've had luck with the "heating" trick anyways... :P
