Pawnbroker needs help

Hi all. I've had a sony ericsson 580 lost to me in the pawnshop. I power it up to show it to a potential buyer and it is locked. I contacted the service provider to see if they could help and had no luck. Is there any way to remove the password or somehow override it so the phone is useful to someone? As it is now, its just an expensive paperweight. Thanks in advance.

Is this an unlock code or a pass code you're in need of? If it's an unlock code, obviously only the manufacturer or some very expensive unlocking equipment is going to get you out of this one. If it's a pass code you're looking for, then I can send you some instructions on how to do so

locked how? is it asking for an UNLOCK CODE or is it saying WRONG SIMCARD or enter SUBSIDY PASSWORD
