Sony Ericsson W760a won't go into Phone Mode

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I am having syncing SE's PC Suites (PCS) with my new SE W760a cell phone. I downloaded the newest version of PCS (version 5.0009.00) from the SE website. when I connect my USB to the phone, PCS indicates my phone is still in "Media Transfer Mode" which grays out most of the functions in PCS and does not allow me to add new calendar appointments, tasks, or contacts. I've reviewed many other blog posts on the web but cannot find any solution to this specific issue. My PC configuration is Dell desktop with Windows Vista Premium. If anyone offer any solutions I would be very grateful!!

On the phone, try going into the main menu / settings / Connectivity / USB Connection (You may need to have the phone plugged into the computer to gain access to that menu) / and look in there. It might be setup to ignore asking, so change the settings in there to something like "always ask connection type"

Mam trochę podobny problem... Chciałabym zgrać smsy na komputer z SE W200i.
Mam zainstalowanych kilka programow i ciągle to samo, więc to chyba coś z połączeniem USB, ale nie wiem co.
Kiedy włączę Tryb Telefonu, na chwilę program mi go znajduje, ale dalsze połączenie nie jest możliwe.
Przy opcji Transfer Plikow i przenoszeniu obrazkow czy muzyki wszystko jest okay.
Co z tym zrobić?

Dzięki za odpowiedź. Tylko właśnie kiedy podłączę kabel USB do telefonu, wyświetla mi się menu i mogę wybrać opcję Transfer Plików i wtedy mogę swobodnie przenosić i kopiować różne pliki, np. jak przy podłączeniu pen-drive'a.
Ale jeśli wybiorę opcje Tryb Telefonu, która właśnie jest potrzebna do kopiowania wiadomości i kontaktów na komputer, żaden z programów nie może znaleźć mojego telefonu.
I właśnie nie wiem, w czym tkwi problem. Może coś nie tak z połączeniem USB>
