Hi,

I have an unlocked W705, i went to change the battery yesterday as the one in it was only lasting 2-3hrs max, i put the new batt in and the phone wouldnt power up, so i put the old one back in powered up, pin in, main screen came on and then it froze, stays frozen on main screen for 2-3 mins before turning itself on and off again.

tried to do an update via SEUS and it gets nearly to the end then says update failed.
the screen is now completely black and the lights are all on but nothing on screen.

any help at all please?? tried ringing SE was told to send away for repair but hoping i might be able to bypass this...
