Two Earth friendly green phones have been announced today by Sony Ericsson and they are the Elm and Hazel. Both phones come with Wi-Fi, GPS, social networking integration, Noise Shield, Clear Voice and Intelligent Volume Adaptation, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support and dual-band HSPA (2100/900). The phones take on a curve design to better fit your hand and come with HD Voice ready courtesy of AMR-WB audio codec.

The Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel features a 5 megapixel auto focus camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS receivers and comes with Google Maps and Wisepilot mapping applications that are already pre-installed.

The Sony Ericsson Hazel has a 2.6 inch QVGA display with 16M color while the Sony Ericsson Elm has a 2.2 inch QVGA display with 262K color support. The Elm measures 14mm in thickness and weighs 90 grams while the Hazel measures 16mm in thickness and weighs 160 grams.

SensMe, TrackID and MegaBass are also present in both phones as a multimedia feature and provides auto rotation to the screen. A microUSB charger is included in both phone's packages but by looking at both phones, they do have proprietary FastPorts.

The Sony Ericsson Elm will be available in Metal Black and Pearly Rose from Q1 2010. The Sony Ericsson Hazel will be available in Superior Black and Passionate Rogue from Q2 2010.
