News: Sony S1 Tablet will launch as Sony Table S in September

Not much information was given about the upcoming Sony S1 Android tablet, but we do have more details and information about the Sony tablet. The Sony S1 tablet is said to launch in the early part of September and will be called the Sony Tablet S. The Sony Tablet S will run on Android 3.1 Honeycomb, in which will more than likely be upgradable to Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Features of the Sony Table S will include: a 9.4-inch touchscreen (1280 x 768) resolution, 5 MP rear camera and a 3 MP front camera for video conferencing, built in IR blaster that will allow the user to control a lot of devices in their home that have an IR sensor, DLNA, Play Station games and pre-installed movies, music and books.

Pricing is not known at this time, but it may be in the price range of $600.
